Covid-19

Reassuring you of our safe practicies

We understand that the COVID-19 outbreak has left many guests feeling anxious about staying in a hotel. However, our parent company, The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, has provided us with expert clinical knowledge to ensure we create the most hygienic environment possible.  The hotel has remained open throughout the pandemic, providing a safe & secure environment for our NHS Staff & Key Workers, where we provided over 2100 complimentary room nights to support the workers, ensuring safe practices were implemented & adhered to at all times.

Safety measures include:

  • All staff have been trained on new hygiene measures and creating a safe environment.
  • Hand sanitiser is available throughout the hotel, including in lifts.
  • A UV key cleaning oven thoroughly sanitises all key cards between uses.
  • Non-Resident Restaurant guests are being asked to leave their contact details as part of the Scottish Government's Test and Protect programme.
  • Face coverings should be worn when moving around the hotel, except within bedrooms or when seated in the bar/restaurant.
  • Should you exhibit any symptoms of Covid-19 prior to arrival, we kindly ask that you do not come to the hotel.
  • If you develop symptoms whilst in the hotel, please self-isolate in your room, contact NHS (9) 111 from your in-room phone or 111 from mobile devices.  Please inform the Duty Manager by dialling '0' from your room.
