History of Ten Hill Place Hotel
Ten Hill Place Hotel is owned by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and was opened in November 2006. It was created from the combination of an existing Georgian building, previously the Postgraduate Residence of the College, with a stylish yet sympathetic new development.
The quality of the original building is reaffirmed throughout the hotel’s interior, with a modern elegance appropriate to each space. This has resulted in a unique Hotel based in a quiet Georgian Square, Hill Square, which provides a peaceful location in the City Centre, but still within walking distance of all the main attractions.
Edinburgh is known as the City of Medicine, and if you are interested in the history of surgery discounted tickets to Surgeons’ Hall Museums can be booked through Reception. It houses one of the largest anatomical collections in the United Kingdom and shows how surgery has progressed throughout the centuries.
Ten Hill Place has recently been upgraded to a Full Four Star Service Hotel and we pride ourselves in living up to this standard in the service and quality we provide.
