|RCSEd signals closer links with Malaysia|

The RCSEd has announced it is to work more closely with the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) to foster greater international collaboration in surgical training.
RCSEd President, Mr Ian Ritchie was in Kuala Lumpur on Friday 31 May, where he signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the UKM and also attended the Annual Scientific Meeting of the College of Surgeons, Academy of Medicine Malaysia.
Speaking on his return from the visit, Mr Ritchie commented: “I enjoyed meeting many RCSEd Fellows and Members in Malaysia at the Annual Scientific Meeting of the College of Surgeons. We signed an MoU in relation to a number of training initiatives which I anticipate will lead to closer ties between our two Colleges and the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.”
The RCSEd currently has around 300 Fellows and Members in Malaysia and has held diets of the MRCS examination there for a number of years.
