Oxford Handbook of Urology, Reynard J, Brewster S, Biers S, Oxford University Press, 2009, 2nd edition, ISBN 978-0-19-953494-4, RRP £32.95
This handbook is a necessary tool for every urology trainee and provides concise, easy to read, up-to-date information on nearly every urological topic. The new edition offers both theoretical and practical advice on the management of all common urological problems. It also contains quick, easily accessible management pathways recommended by internationally recognised establishments.
It is very user friendly and covers 19 broad topics which serve as an excellent revision tool for those studying for the FRCS urology examination. The content headings are the same as the first edition except for the addition of the sexual health section and most chapters include new, up-to-date material.
All important aspects of urology are extensively covered in this excellent, compact little book. I would recommend it both as a vital revision tool for trainees and also as a necessary up-to-date reference instrument.
