Sometimes it may seem as though all is quiet in the world of the Dental Faculty but I would reassure you that this is far from the case. The volume of work undertaken in the Faculty Office in Edinburgh is considerable and the support provided by Linda Stuart for the Faculty and our Fellows and Members is nothing short of phenomenal.
One of the major strands of work being undertaken by the Faculty is the establishment of new Intercollegiate Specialty Membership Examinations. This work was initiated during David Felix’s tenure as Dean and has been carried on during mine. For the past nine months we have been working with our sister Colleges in England and Glasgow to develop three new Tri-collegiate Specialty Membership Examinations in Oral Surgery, Special Care Dentistry and Paediatric Dentistry.
